Paperlarva creates original, surreal, anime-styled drawings. Each piece takes upwards of 100 hours, and is a collaborative process between two artists, Scarlet and Justin. In our work, we value intricate detail, sentimentality, and combining earnest qualities with childlike playfulness. We aim to draw full body original characters and motif-laden backgrounds inspired by our mundane, everyday lives and personal histories. We've had the honor of showing in China's FIREFLY ACG FESTIVAL exhibition, being published in pixiv's VISIONS 2023, working with clients like VShojo, being featured by Kinokuniya Atlanta, and winning Best of the Anime District at Dragoncon in 2023 and 2024!
