Dancing between mythology, magical and imaginative realism, Colin and Kristine Poole’s sculptures accentuate the beauty and expressive qualities of the human form. Winners of the 2023 IBA Grand Prize and the 2020 Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize Sculpture category, the Poole’s sculptures have garnered awards in international competitions including National Sculpture Society, Spectrum and The ARC Art Salon. Their work has featured prominently in publications including The Wall Street Journal, CAST, Masters of Contemporary Fine Art, Ceramics Monthly, Ceramics Ireland, 500 Figures in Clay and American Art Collector. Their commissions for public and private collections include: The MI Carnegie Library, Arlington County, Spectrum and Pop Culture Classroom, National Audubon Society, Nature Conservancy, National Geographic, The US Mint among other Fortune 500 companies. Their commitment to giving back to the art community finds expression in monthly contributions to Muddy Colors and providing presentations on art and business to organizations around the country. They live and create in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains surrounded by their menagerie of birds and beasts.
