The annual Concept Art Awards are judged by a panel of industry experts and recognize excellence in character, creature, vehicle/prop, environment, keyframe, color keys, and visual development. The 2026 Concept Art Awards will be held on Saturday, October 24th at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium during LightBox Expo and celebrates professional, personal, and student work, along with a Rising Star, LBX Luminary, and Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Join us as we discuss and celebrate the legacy of and the inspiration that is Eyvind Earle, one of this year’s Concept Art Awards recipients. It will look at his wide reaching influence on modern animation and the impact he made on 20th Century illustration. The conversation will be moderated by artist and historian Stacia Martin with panelists, Director and Screenwriter Jill Culton, Marvel Studios Animation Production Designer Craig Elliott and Disney Animation Associate Production Designer Griselda Sastrawinata.
