Mayuka Thaïs (She/Her)

Traditional Artist Other
I'm a creative edutainer who loves elephants and the color blue. My artistic journey began at age five as a studio singer for Columbia Music Entertainment Japan. Since then, I’ve performed on albums, in films, and as a bilingual host/singer on the beloved children’s show Shimajiro, where I developed a passion for child-centered, cross-cultural media. I work across disciplines as a voice-over artist for games, animation, and educational content; a bilingual theater performer with 13+ years of experience; and a composer/visual storyteller. I’ve created award-winning music videos that raise awareness about endangered species—especially elephants, which I hold close to my heart. In education, I’m a senior lecturer at Otis College of Art and Design in the Foundation and Game & Entertainment Design departments, and I teach humanities for Stanford’s Online High School. I’m also a published specialist in early art education. Whether in the studio, on stage, or in the classroom, I believe in living fully by embracing everything you love.
