Keika Lee is the President of Greyscale Animation, an independent animation studio she founded in 2017. A Korean-American filmmaker, producer, and creative executive with over 20 years of experience in the entertainment and gaming industries, Keika has worked with major companies including Electronic Arts, DreamWorks Animation, and Zynga. After moving to the United States, she discovered her passion for animation, inspired in large part by her father, who once dreamed of becoming an animator himself. With the support of an incredible, predominantly female team, she went on to create the award-winning, hand-drawn 2D animated short films Odd Dog and Oren’s Way, the latter of which became Oscar-qualified in 2025. Through her journey as both a studio founder and independent filmmaker, Keika hopes to inspire other creators to continue pursuing their dreams, take creative risks, and prove that independent stories can thrive outside the traditional studio system.
