John Ripa is a director and animator with over three decades of experience bringing beloved stories to life. A twenty seven year veteran of Walt Disney Animation Studios, he worked across nearly every discipline of the craft, from supervising animation on Tarzan to co-head of story on Moana before co-directing Raya the Last Dragon. Now at Netflix Animation Studios, he is directing Steps, his next chapter as a filmmaker. Shaped by a curiosity and strong respect for the craft, John brings to every project a deep, lifelong love of animations an art form.
