Rachel Daniels-Gallo is an Annie Award-winning production designer, art director, and philanthropist with 25+ years in feature animation, from Blue Sky Studios, Dreamworks Animation to Warner Bros. Pictures Animation. Credits include Ice Age, Rio, Kung Fu Panda, Trolls, Trolls World Tour, and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run (Production Designer). As Art Director on Netflix and Tonko House’s ONI: Thunder God’s Tale, she won the Annie for Best Production Design—TV/Media. She is Production Designer on the upcoming Looney Tunes short “Daffy Season” and a feature in development at Warner Bros. Pictures Animation. With expertise in 3D design, Rachel directs characters and worlds from concept to creation, translating original IP and visual styles into dimensional, cinematic storytelling through shape, color, texture, and form while preserving the artistic spirit, charm, humor, and imagination. She has taught at the School of Visual Arts, mentored through WiA, and spoken or provided outreach at USC, Art Center, SVA, NYU, Pratt, and Parsons. Panels include FMX, WIA, and SpongeBob’s 20th Anniversary; features include Animation Magazine, Keyframe Magazine, and the Schoolism podcast.
