Alessandro Carloni

Alessandro Carloni is an Italian film director, writer, animator, and art director. Born in Bologna, Carloni grew up in Urbino. He studied literature and music at the University of Milan, while also developing as an artist and illustrator. He first worked in Italy as a writer and music composer before entering the world of filmmaking as a commercial and music video director throughout England, Germany, and Denmark. He moved to the United States in 2002 where he worked at DreamWorks Animation as Head of Story, Head of Animation and eventually Director on the iconic animation franchises Kung Fu Panda and How to Train your Dragon. Currently, he is creating and writing a TV series for Netflix and writing and directing The Cat in the Hat for Warner Bros. Pictures Animation.
