Clarity Over Chaos: How Artists Regain Their Direction

Arya Monster

In today’s rapidly changing creative landscape, shaped by layoffs, AI disruption, and growing competition, many artists are questioning not only their skills, but their direction. Drawing from my own artistic path and industry experience, I developed The Artist Compass as a practical guide for artists who feel stuck, scattered, or pulled between survival, recognition, curiosity, and personal meaning.
This talk helps attendees understand what is driving their creative and career decisions, recognize the possibilities and limits of each force, and move forward without self-blame. Through real examples and practical questions, artists will learn how to navigate competing priorities and discover how clarity often emerges through action rather than before it.
