Bree Paulsen is a writer and illustrator based in Southern California who has been making comics for over a decade, starting with her webcomic PATRIK THE VAMPIRE. She is best known for her best-selling graphic novel duology, GARLIC & THE VAMPIRE (2021) and its sequel GARLIC & THE WITCH (2022). Both Garlic books and her third middle grade graphic novel THE FIRELIGHT APPRENTICE (2024) are included on the ALA's Best Graphic Novels for Children Reading Lists of their respective years. Bree is currently working on a highly anticipated young adult adaptation of DRACULA. When she is not working on comics, Bree enjoys writing dark fantasy fiction, drawing all sorts of monsters and historical fashion, or feeding her brain worms with another play-through of one of her favorite FromSoftware games.
