Brett Bean is the author and artist of the new book series Muk and Honey with Penguin Workshop and a how to draw book with 3D total. He is the author-illustrator of the graphic-novel series Zoo Patrol Squad with Penguin Workshop, and the illustrator of the Battle Bugs (Scholastic) and Beasts of Olympus (Workshop) series. He is also drawing the comic book I Hate Fairyland for Image Comics.
Brett also works in comics, film, TV, video games, and board games. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife Julie and their rambunctious children.
He has worked with Disney, Dreamworks, Riot Games, Activision, Jim Henson's Creature shop, Marvel, Ravensburger, Nickelodeon, Scholastic, and has taught at Gnomon School of Visual FX, LAAFA, CGMA, and hosts workshops around the world. Please contact him for any school workshop inquiries.
Brett loves board games, comics, basketball, Tom Waits, and travelling around the world. He also dislikes talking in the 3rd person.
He once ate a Mopane worm in Africa and it was gross.
