Dan Caplan (He/Him)
Storyboard Artist
For nearly 30 years, Dan Caplan has worked primarily as a
Storyboard Artist for episodic television, feature films, and
commercials. While attending CSUN as an Illustration/Fine Art
major, an exhibit of Star Wars and Apocalypse Now storyboards in
the university art gallery inspired him to pursue that career.His long working relationship with some of HBO’s stalwart
producers and directors has led to work most recently on The Penguin along with many of its popular
shows such as Westworld, Game of Thrones, Watchmen, True Blood,
Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Six Feet Under. Other TV work includes
Star Trek:Picard, Homeland, and the recent hit Fallout. Feature work
includes such titles as Reminiscence, Salt, and I Love You Man.
Dan enjoys urban and landscape sketching in addition to periodically exhibiting his personal work, which
ranges from expressive figure studies to contemplative paintings, and recently self-published a collection of life drawings entitled
“Figuratively Speaking Volume 1.” He is also slowly working on an
original graphic novel.
