David Gazdowicz has been an arts educator for nearly twenty years at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI, now serving as Chair of the Entertainment Arts Department. He recently became an Unreal Engine Certified Instructor and is working to integrate the use of game technologies into the curriculum, as exhibited by introducing Virtual Production techniques to Film and Game students. David is an independent animator, filmmaker, audio producer, and designer. He has collaborated with countless artists, animators, and filmmakers to create soundtracks and imagery for a wide variety of professional and artistic projects. His animation work focuses on the humorous and often absurd aspects of life, aiming to create engaging narratives and colorful characters. David creates quirky works of art that he hopes will capture viewers’ hearts and minds. Although he is now more selective with the projects he takes on, he stays connected with production studios, working on motion graphic animations for a range of applications. David has had video and animation work exhibited at distinguished festivals, such as the Ann Arbor Film Festival, and Media City Film Festival, among others.
