Elissa Gonzales (She/Her)

Character Artist
Elissa graduated in 2020 from Academy of Art University’s school of Visual Development. Her initial role in the industry was at Ingenuity Studios as a background designer and painter. She soon found herself working at WBPA on Cat in the Hat in late 2021 as a visual development artist; her catalyst to becoming a full time character designer. Since then she’s continued her love for character design on WBPA’s coming Oh, the Places You’ll Go! (2028). As well as her studio work, Elissa also recently acted as lead character designer on Amos Sussigan’s animated short film, Pigeons. Elissa enjoys experimenting in a variety of art styles and seeing where the use of different brushes can inspire unique designs. In her free time, she loves following the Portland Trail Blazers’ season, going to movies, and taking candid photos of friends.
