Exceptional Minds is a non-profit academy and studio preparing young adults on the autism spectrum for careers in animation, visual effects, 3D gaming and other related fields in the entertainment industry. We provide technical and work readiness training customized to help students achieve their full artistic and professional potential. Exceptional Minds is comprised of a vocational academy, post graduate program, and professional post-production studios. The academy provides technical and work readiness training customized to help students achieve their artistic and professional potential with small group instruction in a full-time three-year program, private lessons, and part-time summer workshops. The Exceptional Minds professional animation and VFX post-production studios provide services for partners and employs graduates of the academy. We provide work for top-tier companies like Disney, Sony, Netflix, NBCU, Sesame Workshop and more.

This panel brings together neurodivergent artists and their managers to explore how inclusive hiring, workplace support, and career development are strengthening the digital arts and animation industry. Industry leaders will discuss the value of neurodivergent voices on creative teams and share practical strategies for recruiting and supporting neurodivergent talent. Neurodivergent artists will learn to showcase their skills, advocate for themselves in the workplace, and navigate a rapidly-changing industry.

Presenters include representatives from Exceptional Minds, a vocational academy and professional studios for artists on the autism spectrum, independent neurodivergent artists working in the industry, and leaders committed to hiring and supporting neurodivergent talent.
