Greyscale Animation is an independent animation studio headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, dedicated to creating heartfelt stories and unforgettable characters through hand-drawn 2D animation. Founded in 2017, the studio believes that great animation comes from authenticity, passion, and creating characters from the heart that resonate with audiences of all ages. Known for its emotionally driven storytelling and painterly visual style, Greyscale Animation is the creator of the award-winning animated short films "Odd Dog" (2019) and "Oren’s Way" (2023), with "Oren’s Way" becoming Oscar-qualified in 2025. Beyond filmmaking, Greyscale is passionate about building opportunities for artists around the world. As a fully remote studio, the team embraces diversity and collaboration, providing motivated creatives the chance to work on impactful animated projects regardless of location or background.
