Hatt is a Korean artist based in Los Angeles who grew up obsessed with shonen manga, anime, and Western cartoons. After discovering Seoul’s manga-convention scene at 18, she picked up a dip pen and began creating comics, eventually drawing more than 800 pages for fanzines and original stories. She later debuted in Japan’s Comic Flapper and spent nine years creating four comic series as an illustrator, writer, or both for Korean and Japanese publishers. Wanting to explore new forms of visual storytelling, she studied at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Since graduating in 2018, she has worked as an animation background designer, beginning on Muppet Babies at Oddbot and currently on Big City Greens at Disney TVA.
