Heiko von Drengenberg (He/Him)

Storyboard Artist
Heiko von Drengenberg is an accomplished and sought-after storyboard artist in the movie industry. He began his career in animation, a field in which he has held positions from animator, lay-out artist, writer, storyboard artist, head of story, to director. He’s continued his career focusing his work predominantly in live action movies, but continues to entertain opportunities in both fields. He’s passionate about being involved in the creative process of crafting a motion picture not only as a board artist and concept designer but also as a big movie fan himself. Projects include “Predator: “Badlands”, “Lilo & Stitch”, “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire”, ”The Electric State”, “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, “Spirited”, “The Tomorrow War”, “Renfield”, “Sonic, the Hedgehog”, “The Lego Batman Movie”, and currently, “Sonic the Hedgehog 4”. He graduated with a BFA in illustration from Rhode Island School of Design and currently lives in Los Angeles.

This panel gives an overview of what individual artists each bring to the table and how they work together/interact in a traditional pipeline. We will speak to: Philip Keller, Head of Story (Snow White, Wicked); Heiko von Drengenberg, Storyboard Artist (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, Lilo & Stitch (2025)); Andrew Leung, Concept Artist (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Skeleton Crew), and James Rothwell, Animatics Supervisor (Iron Man, The Lion King) about their individual tasks and how they bring those tasks together in the grand scheme of things. Panel will be moderated by storyboard artist, Benton Jew (The Electric State, Salem’s Lot).
