JANE WU is an Annie Award and Emmy Award winning filmmaker, and is currently the supervising director and an executive producer on the Netflix series BLUE EYE SAMURAI, voiced by Maya Erskine and written by Michael Green and Amber Noizumi. BLUE EYE SAMURAI won six Annie awards, including Best TV/Media, Best Character Animation, and Best FX, was nominated for a Peabody Award, and won four Emmys, including Outstanding Animated Program. Additionally she directed the pilot episode and finale (episode 8) and ghost directed episode 5 of BLUE EYE SAMURAI season 1. She directed episode 1 and supervise directed and executive produced all episodes of the upcoming season 2.

The pace of technical disruption in animation keeps climbing — real-time engines, AI, creator platforms, shortform, and whatever’s next.
