Katrina (Kat) is an American visual development artist originally from Miami, specializing in creating vibrant environmental illustrations that emphasize emotional storytelling and atmospheric mood. From an early age, Katrina has been passionate about expressing herself through illustration, influenced by animated series, feature films, live-action productions, and various life experiences. Initially interested in character design and animation, she eventually discovered her love for background painting. This passion grew from her desire to travel, explore different cultures, and recognize the significant impact environments have on storytelling. These interests led Katrina to pursue experiencing student life in animation programs at both Sheridan and Seneca College in Toronto, Canada. In her free time, Katrina gathers artistic inspiration by exploring cities such as downtown Toronto or even back home in Miami. When she’s not daydreaming about her next adventure to a faraway country, she loves immersing herself in music and films, embracing her emotions as another creative source.
