Maureen is the CEO, co-founder and Board Director of Baobab Studios, the ten-time Emmy Award winning and three-time Annie winning interactive animation company that blends storytelling with cutting edge tech (mixed reality, metaverse, AI) to build franchisable family IP and interactive worlds. Named Fast Company’s 2018 Most Innovative Company, Baobab’s universes are being turned into films (Disney), series on premium streamers (e.g, Disney+, HBO Max), books (Penguin Random House, MacMillan) and games (Roblox, web3, Oculus). Their projects include series with Disney+ such as INTERCATS, an animated cat workplace comedy based on the fast-tracked Baobab graphic novel by the same name Macmillan and THE WITCHVERSE, an epic fantasy action-adventure animated event series, based on BABA YAGA, Baobab’s three-time Emmy®-winning short film and VR experience. Also, the Momoguro multiplatform franchise, which includes a line of hit Roblox games and a TV series in development. Their products attract the likes of Oprah Winfrey, John Legend and Ali Wong.
