Michael Buffington Jr. is a veteran concept artist and painter with 20+ years of experience in games, animation, and film. Known for his mastery of drawing, painting, and visual storytelling, he has contributed to titles like Star Wars: The Clone Wars and He-Man: Masters of the Universe – Battle for Eternia (Gambit Games x Mattel). As an Art Director and educator, Michael built and led the #1-ranked Concept Art program at Academy of Art University and currently teaches at California College of the Arts. He is the founder of Drawaholics Anonymous and creator of the 2500 Challenge, a global drawing regimen promoting artistic growth through consistency. His recently published book on the challenge expands on his philosophy of mileage, focus, and daily discipline. Michael champions the belief that great design starts with great drawing—and a relentless work ethic.
