Naicheng Liu is a professional character designer specializing in animation and visual storytelling. His work focuses on translating personality, emotion, and narrative into compelling character designs that bring stories to life.
He holds a Master’s degree in Animation from the University of Southern California (USC) and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Animation from Ringling College of Art and Design, where his thesis film was recognized as a finalist for the Student Academy Awards.
Naicheng has contributed character design to a wide range of 2D and 3D productions across different visual styles, including nine animated feature films and six television series. Projects he has contributed to have received recognition at Academy-qualifying film festivals, and he has recently collaborated with major studios on animated feature development.
Passionate about both storytelling and design, Naicheng enjoys exploring new approaches to character creation and connecting with fellow artists through the shared language of animation.
