Pernille Ørum is a Danish illustrator, living in Kneya and visual artist known for her vibrant character designs and bold use of color. She began her career in animation, working as a lead character designer for Warner Bros. She later collaborated with Netflix, DreamWorks, and Disney Publishing, among others. Ørum gained further recognition through her collaboration with filmmaker Kevin Smith on his comic book series ‘Hit-Girl in Hollywood’ and the release of her popular art book, ‘The Art of Pernille Ørum’, which showcases her unique, expressive style. In addition to her freelance work across illustration, comics, animation, jewelry, and textiles, Ørum redesigned the iconic ‘Barbie’ character for Netflix’s animated series ‘Barbie: The Great Horse Chase’, further cementing her place in the world of animation and illustration.
