Phil Saunders knows a thing or two about creating iconic design, having penned Tony Stark's Malibu mansion and countless Iron Man & War Machine suits from the first movie through the character's run in the MCU. He has been a concept, automotive and product designer for more than 30 years. Over 20 of those years have been in feature film design. Best known for his work with Marvel Studios Visual Development, Phil has also contributed to many popular franchises such as Star Wars, Tron, DC and Kingsman, to name a few.
Prior to his work in film, Phil was the creative director for video game developer Presto Studios, designing and directing popular '90s adventure games such as Myst 3: Exile and the Journeyman Project series. Before that he was an automotive designer for Nissan, and continues to work on automotive, product and theme park projects to keep his roots in real-world problem-solving. His design for a ground-breaking wearable laptop for Republic of Gamers and techwear innovator Acronym was released in 2023.
