Hi, I’m Quirkymonster—sculptor, art director at Onyx Forge Studio, and creator of Miyo’s Mystic Musings. I once thought I’d be a makeup artist… until I realized I was terrible at beauty makeup but fell in love with sculpting. I shut myself in my apartment for six months, sculpted nonstop, built a portfolio, and went door to door until someone took a chance on me.
Since then, I’ve worked with studios like Studio ADI, KNB EFX, Matthew Mungle Creations, New Deal Studios, Two Hours in the Dark, and Onyx Forge Studio—contributing to projects including The Thing, X-Men: First Class, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and Bill & Ted Face the Music.
Through my toys, I explore how the simplest forms can carry deep emotions—especially through an autistic lens I’m still learning to honor. Each creature I make holds a feeling, a story, a whisper to the soft and strange.
As Quirkymonster, I embrace the odd, the tender, and the in-between.
