Allison Zheng (@Ratfestival) is a Chinese-American illustrator and designer born and based in California's east Bay Area. Inspired by her childhood escapes into anime, manga, and video games, Allison has loved drawing since she was young. In 2019, she briefly left the Bay Area to attend college at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, where she practiced drawing independently and partook in various fan projects outside of her studies. Following her graduation with a degree in Computer Science and Design, Allison returned to East Bay where she found work as a designer. However, she continued to hone her craft outside of work, eventually deciding leave her job to seek opportunities as a commercial illustrator. She works digitally primarily in Procreate, but is also familiar with Illustrator, Photoshop, and Clip Studio Paint. When she’s not drawing, Allison can be found catching up on her favorite Weekly Shonen Jump series, and playing with her dog Avery. Also, she does not play tennis, but is proficient in ping pong.
