Richie Pope is a multi-disciplinary artist from Richmond, Virginia. With a long career as a freelance illustrator, his work has been featured in most major publications like The New Yorker, The New York Times and The Washington Post, as well as numerous smaller publications. As an independent cartoonist, he's tabled at numerous comic expos throughout the country, winning an Ignatz Award for Outstanding Artist for his comic "That Box We Sit On." More recently as a storyboard artist and character designer, he's worked on shows from A24, Netflix, Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network. For his storyboard work on Craig of the Creek, he was nominated for an Annie Award for Best Writing (TV/Media) for the episode "Who's Dimension Is It Anyway?" Currently he resides in Los Angeles working on a new body of contemporary art, comics, and other printed materials.
