Sean M. Murphy is a feature animation producer with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Recently, he served as associate producer on the Netflix animated feature film Ultraman: Rising directed by Shannon Tindle and co-directed by John Aoshima. Sean joined ILM in 2021 to oversee production on the film alongside VFX Supervisor, Hayden Jones.
Prior to joining ILM, Sean was an employee of Blue Sky Studios in Greenwich, Connecticut for 17 years before its closure in 2021. While at Blue Sky, he worked in various production roles on shorts and feature films including Horton Hears a Who!, the Ice Age sequels and the Oscar-nominated projects Rio & No Time For Nuts. He was given the role of production manager for the hit film Rio 2 & the Oscar-nominated Ferdinand – both directed by Carlos Saldanha. Before Blue Sky’s closure, Sean was the associate producer on their critically-acclaimed final film, Nimona, before it was moved to Annapurna Animation for completion.
Sean is a member of the Producers Guild of America and ASIFA-Hollywood.
