Sequoia Blankenship & Rob Thompson
Traditional Artist
Animator
Rob Thompson and Sequoia Blankenship are a couple of character animators at Pixar Animation Studios who have worked on such films as Ratatouille, Up, Coco, and Hoppers. In addition to being feature animators, the good friends are also the illustrator and author of the new graphic novel, Feo the Chupacabra, published by Abrams Books. Rob grew up in San Diego where he spent countless hours hiding from the sun in local comic book shops. Sequoia, still learning to hashtag, lives with his family in Petaluma, California, the self-proclaimed Butter and Eggs Capital of the World, which means they have to watch their cholesterol.
“ Thompson and Blankenship have created the funniest and most loveable cast of characters in Feo the Chupacabra. This book is a hilarious love letter to both Latino culture and monster movies, and seamlessly blends humor, heart, and Hollywood with beautiful artwork to boot. I can’t wait to see Feo one day on the big screen!”
