Steven Messing is an Emmy Award winning Art Director working in Film, Television and Commercials. He is a distinguished member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences for his contributions in Visual Effects. Steven studied Fine Art and Film at USC with a focus on Cinematography and Realism Painting. He began in the entertainment field working at Adobe Systems creating graphics for early Photoshop marketing campaigns. He later developed his eye for realistic lighting while working under renowned Matte Supervisor Chris Evans of ILM. Steven currently works in Los Angeles where he has contributed to over 50 film and television projects including Avatar, Avengers, Alien, Gladiator, Stranger Things and the Game of Thrones series.

Expect a deep dive into process, inspiration, and the enduring appeal of dystopian corporate futures. Featuring design work from Alien: Romulus, Predator: Badlands, Prometheus and Alien: Covenant.
