Tom Racine (He/Him)

Tom Racine is a cartoonist and author in San Diego, California. His book “Doomed to Die, An A-Z of Death in Tolkien” from HarperCollins hits stores this November. His rather varied career has encompassed stagehand work in theatre, graphic design for print and web, packaging design, art direction, traditional animation, live television and theatre production, podcasting, voice acting, and for the past 15 years, educational video production and editing. He is the colorist and Photoshop guru for Lincoln Peirce’s “Big Nate” comic strip and “Max and the MidKnights” books. Working with writer-artist Michael Cavna formerly with the Washington Post, Tom won two Society of Professional Journalists awards.
