Wayne Unten (He/Him)
Animator
Born and raised in Southern California, Wayne Unten is a character animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where for the past 20 years he's animated on films such as Encanto, Moana, Wreck-It Ralph, Meet the Robinsons, Bolt, Big Hero 6, and Wish. On Frozen and Frozen 2, he served as the Animation Supervisor of Elsa, and is currently animating on Zootopia 2 (November 2025 release).
In his personal work, Wayne loves to animate for fun, creating short stories in various styles of animation such as 2D and stop-motion animation. Recently, he has been working on high-quality flipbooks of his personal animation to share the joy and magic of animation in a hand held form.
Wayne studied traditional and CG animation at Cal State University Fullerton, has taught character animation at Cal Arts, and has served a mentor through various mentorship programs such as Rise Up Animation and Academy Gold.
