Wendell Luebbe is an Art Director at Skydance Animation, where he helps define the visual language and artistic direction of animated feature films. With a career spanning more than three decades, he is recognized for his expertise in visual development, production design, and world-building, contributing to some of animation's most beloved feature films. His recent work includes the upcoming Ray Gunn, directed by Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Brad Bird. Prior to joining Skydance Animation, Luebbe worked at both Walt Disney Toon Studios and DreamWorks Animation, where he served in key artistic roles on acclaimed productions including The Road to El Dorado, Return to Never Land, and Pixar's Academy Award®-winning Up. Throughout his career, he has collaborated closely with directors and creative teams to translate stories into compelling cinematic environments and memorable visual experiences. Wendell attended the California Institute of the Arts and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He graduated from the University of Kansas.
