After 30 Years Animating @ Disney- STILL Evolving!

Following an acclaimed 30-year career with Walt Disney Animation studios where he created classic characters, including ‘Gaston’ in Beauty and the Beast, ‘Jafar’ in Aladdin and ‘Scar’ in The Lion King, Andreas Deja left Disney in 2010, to spread his wings.

With the creation of an all-new 28-minute short MUSHKA, he assumed responsibility for ALL facets of production. In this presentation, he shares why and how he started and completed his directorial debut, including inspiration from newly discovered artists like Wilhelm M. Busch and others; team gathering; developing a 2-D animation pipeline and the musical gift of Academy Award-winner Richard M. Sherman.

Deja shares the path of this challenging growth journey, that was both exciting and scary… but ultimately very rewarding.
