Behind the Scenes with Marvel Vis Dev

Marvel Studios Visual Development (or “VisDev”) is an in-house artistic team that creates concept art for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, across movies, streaming series, and animation projects. VisDev character and creature designs, keyframe illustrations, and conceptual work for iconic film sequences are developed in collaboration with Marvel Studios’ talented filmmakers and production crews to develop the overall look for the franchise. LightBox Expo 2023 speakers from this group include Ryan Meinerding, Andy Park, Jackson Sze, Rodney Fuentebella, Ian Joyner, and Jana Schirmer, who lead the creative work within the VisDev team.
