Anatomy for Artists

October 25 @ 4:15 pm - 5:15 pm

Join Dr. Michael Habib, anatomy professor and animation/VFX consultant, as he collaborates with a professional model to demonstrate key aspects of human anatomy specifically for artists. The presentation will focus on joints, motion, and dynamic surface changes that any artist – from beginner to advanced – can use to make their characters more compelling and dynamic. Dr. Habib will leverage his 20 years of VFX and Animation consulting experience to provide veteran tips for how to design characters that will ultimate sculpt, rig, and animate properly. Guidelines for using human anatomy as a starting point for building creature anatomy will also be included. Participants will be encouraged to sketch and ask questions along the way.
