Join acclaimed creature designer and concept artist Terryl Whitlatch, and paleontologist Dr. Michael Habib, as they take you through the full process of creating a scene featuring dinosaurs and other Mesozoic creatures. They will discuss the challenges involved in recreating extinct animals for dynamic storytelling – emphasizing process, design choices, and collaborative interplays of science and art. You will get tips and tricks for properly building the anatomy of these iconic animals, as well as guidelines for using extinct animals as inspiration for fantasy designs. Terryl will share some of her favorite sources of inspiration, while Dr. Habib provides some lessons learned from recent collaborations with MPC and ILM.
